The borough will soon be installing a closed-loop course for bikes (made up of a number of bumps), commonly known as a “pumptrack”, which will be located in the area around boulevard Champlain, between 2e Avenue and Broadway, along the bike path.

It will feature 3 tracks - 2 pumptracks and 1 skills track - and is designed for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), age 5 and over. The total surface area will be approximately 3,100 m2, divided into 3 separate courses. Numerous combinations of bumps and turns will provide interesting challenges for beginners and professionals alike. The maximum capacity of users in action on the course will be 45.

To make the course safe and compliant, the track will be approximately 2 metres wide and the lines, painted on the pumptrack, will give a good view of the obstacles and turns. Instructions for use will be posted to inform users about the facilities, skill levels and proper behaviour.
