Return of the "Ralentissez… Je vis ICI" ("Slow down... I live HERE) campaign
The borough invites you to participate in its road safety awareness campaign Ralentissez… Je vis ICI! ( Slow down… I live HERE!).
Campaign objectives
● To encourage motorists to slow down
● To make the public feel safer in school zones and residential areas
● To make motorists aware that they are driving in a living environment
Take part in the campaign
We suggest that you take part—on a voluntary basis—in raising motorists’ awareness, by posting a sign, either on your property or your balcony (size: 24 in. x 18 in.), it’s easy!
- Go to the Bureau Accès LaSalle in Borough Hall, 55 avenue Dupras, during its office hours.
- Ask for a “Slow Down… I live HERE!” campaign sign and specify:
- the type of sign you want (balcony* or front yard)
- the speed limit in your area (30 km/h or 40 km/h)
- your name and address
Maximum one sign per address. *Cable ties will be provided.
If you kept your sign from last fall…
We encourage those of you who took part in the campaign last fall by putting up a sign on your property (or balcony) to proudly display it again.
