City council meets on the third or  fourth Monday of every month, except public holidays. A public question period is held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The council session runs until all the topics on the agenda have been covered. 

If all the topics are not covered, the session continues on the following day at 9:30 a.m. and begins with a new public question period.

  • Session: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Assistance for people with reduced mobility: 5:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m.

You will be asked to show a valid photo ID.

The random drawing is held at 6:30 p.m. 

3. Registering for the question period
When your number is drawn, go to the registration table with your photo ID and provide the following information:

  • your first and last names
  • the organization you represent, if such is the case
  • the elected official to whom your question is addressed
  • the subject of your question

You will be given a badge with your name on it and you are required to wear it throughout the process.

4. Question period
You will be required to wait your turn to submit your question.

  • Family room on the ground floor at city hall, with changing tables, armchairs and a breastfeeding area
